Postpartum Doula Support

In my years of work in postpartum support I have found that what was once considered the critical time in postpartum care, the fourth trimester, really spans the first year of motherhood.  There is a significant transition occurring with the new mama (Matrescence) that is overlapping a time of significant growth and development with the baby.  This whole first year is critical in the mother's healing and evolution.  I support this recovery and entry into motherhood and help you navigate as a family, no matter where you are in that first year.  During this critical period of healing and transition into parenthood, I provide a variety of support, including:

Processing the birth experience

Understanding Matrescence, postpartum, and the fourth trimester

Emotional and informational support

Breastfeeding support

Baby care and soothing techniques

Troubleshooting any issues that may arise

Nutritional guidance

Guidance for establishing comfort and calm in the house

Referrals for additional support

Overall wellness care and creating a strong foundation of health

Community connections and evidence based resources

Staying present

Feelings of isolation are very real at the start of parenthood.  Whether you are pregnant and planning or somewhere in your first year of motherhood; if you are here, let’s talk.  Our first consultation call or meeting is complimentary for us to connect and check the fit.

**Matrescence and Postpartum prep can begin during pregnancy as well!
